Sales Representative

Typical work activities

The successful candidate will have a solid record of IT services sales experience with website, online marketing, and branding expertise. He or she will be customer-focused, resilient, and a proactive team player. Two or more years of college education, preferably with a business focus, is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Servicing existing accounts, obtaining orders, and establishing new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential clients and other trade factors.
  • Properly representing OWDT, ensuring that appropriate communication and presentation is conducted at all times by yourself and your team. Paying attention to business-protocol for all interactions, formal/informal communications, attire, etc.
  • Adjusting content of sales presentations by doing due diligence research on different sales venues.
  • Focusing sales efforts by studying the existing and potential volume of dealers.
  • Keeping management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitoring the competition by gathering current marketplace information on the pricing of services, new offerings, project completion timelines, marketing techniques, etc.
  • Recommending changes in services and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolving customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Continually improving professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.
  • Providing historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Actively participating with OWDT teams and individual employees to ensure across-the-board success of all company projects.
